To train blind persons for jobs in open industry and for self-employment, a telephone operator training department has been established.

Here instructions for the first rudimentary steps such as handling the telephone instrument are given, followed by more complicated tasks of operating the electronic switchboard. The Department has a well-equipped EPABX board with 4 lines and 16 extensions.
