Mr.
N. P. Pandya was falicitated by the then Governor of Maharashtra,
H.E. Dr. P.C. Alexander for his outstanding achievements in
prevention and control of blindness. He has received ‘Excellence
Award’ by top Management of Pune at the Hands of
Dr. P.C. Alexander, Then Governor of Maharashtra.
Mr. N. P. Pandya is the recipient of the ‘Cosmos Award’
from Cosmos Bank as an outstanding social worker and is also
the recipient of the SERA Award from Rotary
International as well as has been awarded the ‘Excellence
Award’ by Lions International.
He was given the Best Social Worker Award
by the Pune Municipal Corporation in January, 1994.He was
awarded the prestigious ‘Rustom Alpaiwalla Memorial
Award’in the field of blind welfare and prevention
of blindness by National Association for the Blind. In 1987-88
and 1988-89, he was given the best performance award
in the field of prevention and control of blindness by the
Government of Maharashtra.
He received the "Drusti Gaurav Puraskar"
from Lions International. He also received the Major
N.D. Diwan Award’ from National Society for Equal
Opportunities in 2002.
Mr. Pandya is a good disciplinarian and a determined person,
who sets high goals for himself and then does not rest till
he achieves them which is always aimed at betterment of mankind.
He has fully devoted his life for the prevention and control
of blindness and for handicapped welfare. |
